Abstract
1318779 Resilient mountings LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS GmbH 15 Oct 1971 49111/70 Heading F2S [Also in Division H2] The ends of a stationary shaft 5 of a motor for driving a drum-type washing machine (see Division H2) are coupled to a mounting strap 3, 4 by resilient mounting members 18, 19 each having oppositely extending threaded stubshafts 17, 20, one of which screws into the end of the shaft and the other is engaged by a nut for clamping it to the strap. The mounting members may comprise inner and outer conical, metal portions 31, 32, Fig. 5, separated by resilient material 30 and carrying the stub-shafts. Alternatively the stub-shaft 17 may be replaced by a sleeve (33), Fig. 6 (not shown), for receiving the end of shaft 5. In another construction, the inner and outer members are cylindrical, Fig. 7 (not shown), and the inner cylindrical member may be hollow to receive the end of the shaft, Fig. 8 (not shown). Fig. 11 shows a further alternative in which the outer member 42 has axial teeth 43 and the inner member 44 is square with hollow sides. In a final embodiment, Fig. 13, the inner and outer members 46, 45 are both cup-shaped and the outer member has a boss 47 entering member 46.
