Abstract
1,130,123. Commutators for electric machines. VEREINIGLING VOLKSEIGENER BETRIEBE ELEKTROGERATE. 11 Jan., 1967, No. 1549/67. Heading H2A. In a commutator for electric machines a commutator ring is located coaxially in an axial rim on a flange of a supporting body provided with a bore, protuberances being provided on the inside of the flange in such a way that between the end face of the commutator ring and the inside of the flange of the supporting body, an intermediate space is left, this latter and the remaining space between the commutator ring and the supporting body being filled with a connecting mass. As shown, the flange of the carrier body 1 with ribs 5 is located coaxially on the external diameter of the commutator ring 2, which consists preferably of carbon segments, by means of an axial rim on the flange. The inner side of the flange of the carrier body 1 is kept spaced from the end face of the commutator ring 2 by means of protuberances 3, while the hub of the carrier body protrudes out beyond the length of the commutator ring, and the bore for the armature shaft stub is closed at the end. Between the carrier body 1 and the commutator ring there is the connection mass 4. After the commutator body has set, the part of the carrier body hub protruding beyond the length of the commutator ring and also the axial rim of the carrier body flange, are removed.
