Abstract

1316885 Valves CUPEDOS OCTROOI MIJ NV 23 Dec 1970 [30 Dec 1969] 61121/70 Heading F2V A shaft 18 for actuating a valve is coupled to a fluid-operated piston 7 by a rotatable sleeve 12 having helical slots 24 to receive rollers 11, 22 on pins 9, 20 which have further rollers 10, 21 constrained to move in vertical slots 23 in a fixed member 4. The helical slots terminate at their lower end in a less oblique portion to reduce the closing speed of the valve and increase the force applied by the piston. A hand wheel 37 may be used to operate the valve manually.
