Abstract

1357424 Valves L'AUXILIAIRE DE L'INDUSTRIE ET DES MINES 2 July 1971 [9 July 1970 26 March 1971] 31012/71 Heading F2V A two-position rotary plug valve has a cylindrical, spherical or tapered plug 3 moved between end positions, as defined by stops, by handle 4 and held in the end positions by an over-centre spring mechanism which comprises a fixed square-section peg 26 surrounded by resilient ring 24, and plates 25 which tilt to accommodate relative rotation between the square 26 and ring 24 and co-operate with the peg to produce the over-centre action. In a modification, the ring 24 is fixed and co-operates with a rotary square-section element.
