Abstract

1355309 Valves; linkwork; cams F M C CORP 4 July 1972 [8 July 1971] 31237/72 Headings F2V and F2K A valve actuator as described in Specification 1,262,605 includes a housing 12 that serves to mount the actuator on a valve and is fluid tight to act as one half of a double acting cylinder, fluid pressure being applied to a port 12a in the housing or a port 50a in a detachable cylinder 50 connected to the housing to effect movement of the piston 22 and consequent movement of a rotary valve member. The housing is provided with guiding grooves (44) (Figs. 4 and 5, not shown) which retain a bearing member 42 of the interconnecting mechanism between the piston and the rotary valve. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,262,605.
