Abstract

1316655 Double - twist twisting machine BARMAG BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK AG 12 June 1970 [13 June 1969] 28601/70 Heading DID A double twist twisting machine comprises vertically adjacent rows of twisting spindles 5, 6 arranged substantially perpendicular to the vertical longitudinal plane of the machine, winding units 17-20 provided over a length equal to the length of the rows, the number of winding units equal to the number of spindles, the bearings and the drive of the spindles being accommodated in a completely closed housing. Yarn take-off rolls 25, driven by a common drive shaft. The drive housing can be provided with a sound-absorbing finish and cooling ducts. The spindles and winding units can be arranged in groups with a corresponding number of linked drive shafts extending along the length of the machine during the spindles by easily exchangable belts (Fig. 3 and 4), Each side of the machine can be provided with a hinged cover and mirrors to inspect the machine.
