1311764 Electrostatic copier MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 22 May 1970 24958/70 Heading G2H An electrostatic copier uses a cathode ray tube 11 in conjunction with an optical fibre prism 12 to throw an optical image on to a pre-charged photoconductive cylindrical surface 10 so that simultaneous charging by corona charger 26 with a polarity opposite to the first charge applied by charger 25, may be conveniently carried out, especially in a PIP process. By means of the optical fibre prism, light is transmitted to the surface of the drum 10 in a region immediately adjacent the ridge of the prism.
