Abstract

1,094,224. Cleaning xerographic plates. XEROX CORPORATION and BELL & HOWELL CO. May 26, 1965, No. 22432/65. Heading G2H. Powder residue is removed from xerographic drum 19 by a web 63 in rubbing contact with the drum while applying an electrostatic charge to the web. The web may be of paper, cheesecloth, flannel or rayon cotton fibre and has a rate of different movement to the drum and preferably in the opposite direction to the drum.
