Abstract

1311552 Control cable SOC NATIONALE INDUSTRIELLE AEROSPATIALE 6 Julv 1970 [7 July 1969] 32681/70 Heading H1A A control cable for a guided missile has coated and/or uncoated strands of high tensile strength steel, the steel wires or cores having diameters of between 0À05 and 0À1 mm., and tensile strengths of between 250 and 300 kg./mm.<SP>2</SP>. In Fig. 3, steel wires 16, 17, 18 take most of the strain, and steel cored copper-covered or galvanized wires 12-15 act as conductors, these being individually insulated by polyvinyl chloride, nylon, or silicone. In other embodiments the cable may include a single strand of textile, or the cable may comprise only individually insulated steel wires in an outer plastics cover.
