Abstract

1308202 Dry shaver BRAUN AG 8 July 1970 [11 July 1969] 33251/70 Heading B4B A dry shaver has a short-hair cutting part and a neighbouring long-hair cutting part which is pivotable from a normal position, to one side of and adjacent the short-hair cutting part, into a position above said part. As described the short-hair-cutting part comprises a fixed perforated foil and a co-operating reciprocated cutter. The long-hair cutting part comprises a fixed comb 11 mounted on a support 24, and a blade 12 which is reciprocated by engagement of a fork 13 thereon with a bolt 14 fixed to the drive for the short hair cutter. The support 24 is carried by arms 15 pivoted at 16 to the cutter head frame. Leaf springs 17 on the arms 15 have prongs 20 which in the normal position of the long-hair cutter part as shown engage in bores in the cutter head frame, and which engage in further bores 18 when the long-hair cutter part is advanced to its operative position by movement of a slide 26.
