Abstract

1290216 Dry shavers BRAUN AG 15 July 1970 [18 July 1969] 34292/70 Heading B4B An electric dry shaver includes an inner reciprocating cutter 5, Fig. 1, and a perforated foil 7 displaceable transversely of the direction of reciprocation, the foil 7 being supported by a frame 10 so that at least two differing areas may alternatively be brought into co-operation with the cutter 5. Flexible arch members 11 of the frame 10 run in grooves 15 of a head 1 of the shaver casing 2, the foil 7 being releasably attached to rigid side limbs 9 of the frame 10, one of which limbs bears a knob 16 projecting through a slot of the head 1 for manual actua tion. Alternatively, Fig. 3, side limbs 29 of the frame 30 to which the foil 27 is releasably attached may be pivotably attached to rigid connecting limbs 31, the limbs 31 being pivotable in the shaver casing 22 by means of a knob (36), Fig. 4 (not shown), fixed on an axle 40 projecting from the head 22.
