Abstract
1307411 Boots &c R MAGUIN-POUJOL 20 May 1970 [23 May 1969] 24386/70 Heading A3B A device for conducting electrostatic charges on the human body to earth consists of electrically conducting members adapted to be fitted to an article of footwear so as to contact the tread and the inner surface of the sole and an electrically conducting clip adapted to be fitted to a part of the article of footwear, said clip being connected in an electrically conducting manner to said members. As described a wire 8 extends from the inner surface of the sole and is attached to a clip 9 which is connected to a metal disc 11 on the tread by a chain 10. The chain 10 may be secured to the heel by nails 12. In order to improve contact between the foot and the wire 8 a conductive plate 13 having spikes 14 may be worn inside a sock or stocking, the spikes 14 penetrating the sock or stocking to make contact with the wire 8.
