Abstract
1306910 Transformers and inductors JOHANN BERNDEISEL & CO 30 April 1970 6051/72 Divided out of 1288447 Heading HIT A choke or transformer is enclosed in a two part metal screening casing 21, 23 the flanged ends of the U-section part 21 being held in grooves in the springy cover member 23 to press the free ends of core links 5, 6 against the ends of core member 3. Core member 3 is also pressed by member 23 so that it squeezes an insulating insert 8 against the end of core members 2 thus forming a non-magnetic gap. The core may be formed of U and T portions or the central limb may be a separate member.
