Abstract

1303939 Blade dispensers PHILIP MORRIS Inc 5 Nov 1971 [21 July 1971] 51481/71 Heading B8P A blade dispenser having right and left dispensing ends comprises a cover-plate 12 with a central finger opening (50) and a main body part 11 comprising a retaining plate 16 having right and left guide lugs 30, 31 and an intermediate retaining lug 40, the lugs being aligned and independently resiliently mounted. Blades 45 having longitudinal slots are arranged in alternate longitudinally offset relation on the plate 16, the set of blades oriented to the left having their slots arranged over lugs 31 and 40 and the set oriented to the right having their slots arranged over lugs 30 and 40, manual depression of lug 40 permitting movement of the top blade in the direction in which it is oriented. The rear cross band of the moving blade depresses the guide lug 30 or 31. The cover-plate 12 is made of spring material and is bowed downwardly at its middle to contact the blades, its end portions 26 being retained in recesses 25 in the side flanges 14, 15 of the body 11. A bottom plate 13 has a slotted opening 21 for the insertion of used blades 22.
