834,133. Electric torches. TRFHAWK MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Jan. 21, 1958 [Jan. 24, 1957], No. 2557/57. Class 39(2) The switch operating member of an electric torch consists of a non-metallic block f, e.g. of plastic material, sliding in a slot o in the torch casing and caused to project therefrom by a spring contact blade d riveted or otherwise secured to the casing, so that the block cannot be bodily displaced into the torch casing by movement in the direction of the spring plate. The block has a projection j at the forward end which can rest against the outside of the casting to maintain the block in operative position or against the inside of the casing to keep the switch in the depressed position. The lateral edges of the block may be provided with flanges to engage the spring blade. The blade may have an abutment m pressed out from its surface to limit the endwise movement of the block.
