Abstract
1303856 Negative plates for lead-acid batteries ELECTRICITY COUNCIL 24 May 1971 [26 May 1970] 25273/70 Heading H1B A negative electrode plate incorporates a grid of aluminium or magnesium alloy with a layer of zinc on the aluminium or magnesium alloy, a copper coating on the zinc layer and a lead outer coating which is more than 100 microns thick. The grid is then made into a negative plate by conventional pasting, curing and forming. An antimony or bismuth layer may be interposed between the copper coating and the lead outer coating.
