A railing panel comprises rectangular section tubular top and bottom rails interconnected by circular section spacing bars 3 and 4 passing through apertures in opposed faces of the rails, some of the bars e.g. 4, being provided with screw threaded ends which engage nuts 5 and 6, the other bars e.g. 3 being clamped in place thereby. The clearance of the bars in the apertures is such that in the unclamped position the top and bottom rails can be inclined to the horizontal, inclined or coned washers then being used between the nuts and the rails. A bituminous or -similar strip of semi hard material is secured to the inside of the upper rail to prevent rattle of the bars 3. The nuts 6 may be housed in the bottom rail in which case they are reached by a box spanner through a hole in the lower face. The ends of the top and bottom rails are recessed, and may carry screw threaded plates, for securing to posts. The posts may be capped with the top rails extending therebetween or the top rail may extend halfway over the post to abut the top rail of an adjacent panel. An intermediate rail may be provided just beneath the top rail, the top rail then only being connected to some of the vertical bars.
