1301550 Time switches H OBERGFELL [trading as KIENINGER & OBERGFELL] 2 Sept 1970 [3 Sept 1969] 41975/70 Heading H1N An electric programme controller for washing machines comprises a rotatable programme disc 2 carrying face cams, a plurality of generally planar members 8, 9, 10, 11, generally parallel to and adjacent one or both faces of the disc 2 and consisting of suitably shaped metal conductors embedded in insulating material, at least one group of electrically interconnected movable spring contacts 16, 38, connected to the metal conductors of a first one 8, 10, said members and engageable with fixed contacts 39 provided by the metal conductors of a second one, 9, 11, of said members, electrical connection between the contacts, 16, 39 or 38, 39, being controlled by face cams of disc 2, and terminal tap 29 electrically connected to the conductors. As shown, the planar members 8, 9, 10, 11 comprises metal plate networks embedded in insulation having suitable apertures such that portions of the network may be punched out to form the required circuitry, the non-actuated contacts 39, the moving contact blades 16, 38, and also trapezoidal tongues 33 and tangs 34 for interconnection between planar members by mutual co-operation. Cam follower hoses 30 are moulded on to blades 16, 38. An assembly having an additional rotatable disc (44, Fig. 3, not shown) controlling contacts for continuous oscillation of a wash drum, for example, uses common planar'members 8, 9; and a further embodiment (Fig. 4, not shown) has a third rotatable disc (45) for programme selection in addition to the programme disc 2 and drumreversal disc (44).
