1300338 Glucose determination BOEHRINGER MANNHEIM GmbH 24 Aug 1971 [28 Aug 1970] 39579/71 Heading B1X A reagent for glucose determination, e.g. in blood, comprises glucose oxidase, peroxidase, a buffer, and, as stabilisers, an azide, e.g. sodium azide, and 2,2'-azino-di-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid), which latter compound also acts as a chromogen. An additional chromogen, e.g. o-dianisidine, may be included. The colour change of the chromogen is compared with standards for interpretation. The reagent may be in solution or in solid form.
