Abstract

1299095 Photographic processing apparatus PAKO CORP 2 June 1970 [6 June 1969] 26651/70 Heading G2A Photographic print material 27 is processed by passage through a plurality of separate and individual solution tanks 10, 11, 12, 13 by a plurality of upper driving rollers 15-19, the driving friction between the material and the rollers being varied to vary the speed of travel imparted to the material. The print material passes from a supply spool 27a over top, driving rollers 15-19 and bottom, idler rollers 20-23. The bottom rollers are vertically adjustable on notched plastic support plates 24 which engage with anchoring rods 25. The paper is initially guided through the tanks by an endless transport belt 26 which passes over top and bottom rollers and over a tensioning roller 31. The belt is notched so as to engage cogs 38, Fig.4, provided on the upper rollers, Each of the upper rollers has a pair of paper driving rings 40 of larger diameter then the cogged portion of the roller so as to produce an over drive effect on the paper relative to the speed of the web, the frictional driving engagement between the rollers and the paper thus being variable depending upon the tension in the paper.
