Abstract

1299065 Rotary-piston compressors MITSUI SHIPBUILDING & ENG CO Ltd 3 Feb 1970 [8 Feb 1969] 5063/70 Heading F1F A two-stage compressor has eccentric pistons 18, 18a fixed to a common driving-shaft 17 and lodged in cylindrical chambers 14, 15 that are limited axially by partitions 11, 12, 13, inlet and outlet ports in the peripheral wall of each cylinder being separated by a plate 20 that is moved radially in synchronism with the pistons by cams 23, 24. The outlet port of the cylinder 14 contains a non-return valve 30 and is connected by way of an inter-stage cooler to the inlet port of the chamber 15, Fig. 1 (not shown).
