Abstract

1297413 Watches VOUMARD MACHINES CO SA 13 July 1970 [15 July 1969] 33811/70 Heading G3T [Also in Division E2] A watch powered by a battery 7 has a circular cap 8 for closing an aperture 6 in the back 3, 3a of the watch case and for making contact with the battery. The aperture 6 is a bayonet fitting and is provided with recesses 15 which receive ears 11a when the cap 8 is turned by means of one of two coin slots 9. The ears 11a are provided on a stamped member 11 which is locked to the cap 8 by swaging over portions 13 of locating bosses 8a on the cap. The member 11 also has resilient arms 11c which are bent up to form contacts. A sealing ring 16 is provided.
