420,376. Powder distributers. DANIELL, T. E. ST. C., 16, Rosary Gardens, South Kensington, London, and BENTLEY, B. J. F., New Barn House, Longfield, Kent. May 30, 1933, No. 15593. [Class 18] A sifter cap for dispersing condiments and other powders comprises a fixed part 11 and a movable cover 18, connected together by a central rivet 17 and both formed with holes 14, 20 which can be brought into register. A stud 19 on the cover projects through an arcuate slot 16 in the part 11. A substantially circular spring 21 lies inside the part 11 and its hooked ends engage the stud 19 and a tongue 15 stamped from the part 11. A finger 24 is provided for turning the cover within the limits allowed by the slot 16. Fig. 6 shows a modification in which the finger 24 is replaced by a shouldered plunger 27 projecting through the fixed part 11 and connected to the stud 19.
