Abstract

1297257 Fuel injection systems ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 9 March 1970 [8 March 1969] 11112/70 Heading G1N In an I.C. engine variable speed governor, the outputs of two monostable multi-vibrators 15, 16 are compared in a comparator 14 which provides an output to a bi-stable multi-vibrator 13 controlling the fuel supply when the duration of the two outputs differ. The monostable multi-vibrator 16 has a relaxation period dependent upon the position of a fuel quantity setting member of a fuel injection pump, or the setting of an injection valve, as determined by a potentiometer 34 and the multi-vibrator 15 has a relaxation period dependent upon the difference between two voltages dependent upon engine speed and accelerator position (determined by a tachogenerator 22 and a potentiometer 21). The difference voltage determines the relaxation periods of two monostable multi-vibrators 19, 20, one of which switches multi-vibrator 15 to its stable state, via transistor 27, when they themselves revert to their stable state. Switching of all multi-vibrators is provided by an astable multi-vibrator 29, and the amplified output of bi-stable multi-vibrator 13 controls the fuel quantity setting member via solenoid 12, or the injection valve directly.
