Abstract

1294050 Automatic circuit-breakers LODZKIE ZAKLADY APARATURY ELEKTRYCZNEJ 29 April 1971 [30 April 1970] 12115/71 Heading H1N An overcurrent tripping device comprises a thermal element 32 and an electromagnetic element 41 which act on a trip-bar 21 to release the long arm 17 of a first lever pivoted on a shaft, this lever being biased by a first torsion spring so as to strike a lug 26 on the long arm of a second lever pivoted on the same shaft and oppositely biased by a weaker second torsion spring so that a lug 27 on the long arm normally abuts a fixed insulating base member. The second lever has a short arm 28 carrying a roller 29 from which a circuit-breaker release lever 31 is released when the second lever is turned by the first lever. The first lever also has a short arm 22 which, when the circuit-breaker has been tripped open, extends into the path of movement of the circuit-breaker operating lever 23 so that movement of the operating lever 23 to the "off" position shown resets the device.
