1,272,649. Automatic circuit-breakers. FUJI DENKI SEIZO K.K. 18 Sept., 1969, No. 46149/69. Heading H1N. An automatic, circuit-breaker has contactcarrying members 1, 3 arranged so that the current flowing through the members 1, 3 provides a force of repulsion between them, the member 1 being latched to a lever 5 by interengaging means 10, 13 at a position nearer the contacts 2, 4 than that at which the resultant force acts so that the force increases the contact pressure until it displaces the member 1 sufficiently to release the member 1 for opening movement relative to the lever 5. This lever is pivoted at 6 and is operated by conventional over-centre tension-spring snap-action mechanism which is tripped open by conventional overcurrent tripping devices to relatch the means 10, 13.
