Abstract

1293409 Valves TEMPLE INSTRUMENTS Ltd 23 Dec 1969 62515/69 Heading F2V A valve of the non-return or shuttle type has a seat 17 for engagement by a sealing member 21, an internally threaded part 11 in alignment with the seat, and a threaded tubular insert 24 providing a second seat or a stop for engagement by the sealing members and having a length such that therei s sufficient unobstructed length of part to receive an externally threaded pipe coupling. The end of the insert may have slots 29 to permit fluid flow and a recess to receive one end of a light coil loading spring. The seat 17 may be formed on a second insert or two seats may be provided to co-operate with a resilient ball in a through bore having a third connection with a central port to provide a shuttle valve.
