Abstract
The metal housing has a cylindrical bore. A first cylindrical plastic insert is mounted with an O-ring seals in one side. The insert incorporates a bore with seals in which the valve stem can slide and a cut-out in line with the inlet. A valve seat is formed at the end of this cut-out. A second cylindrical insert is mounted in the other end of the tube to close-off the tubular housing. Variations can be made in the shape of the inserts and arrangement of the valve seats, depending on whether the valve is used as a throughlet valve or a multiway valve.
