Abstract

1,122,316. Valves. SOC. D'EXPLOITATION DES MATERIELS HISPANOSUIZA. 27 Jan., 1967 [14 Feb., 1966], No. 4077/67. Heading F2V. A pressure balanced valve comprises a valve member 14 seating on an elastomeric seat ring 11 between an inlet chamber 2 and an outlet hcamber 4. The valve member is extended in both directions and has a bore 21 communicating at one end with a fluid-tight bellows 12 in the inlet chamber and at the other end with the outlet chamber. The valve is biased lightly by a spring 9 and actuated by a solenoid 8. Only a small actuating force is required. In an alternative construction, Fig. 2 (not shown), the seat and valve member are positioned on the downstream side of the seat opening 6 and the valve is of normally open type.
