Abstract
1293185 Gear pumps DANFOSS A S 19 Nov 1969 56657/69 Heading F1F [Also in Divisions F4 and H2] A gear pump for an oil burner is driven by a rotor 16 of an electric motor, and comprises an inner toothed wheel 25 rotating with the shaft 9, an outer toothed wheel 26 meshing with wheel 25 and rotating with a ring 27, and discs 28, 29, containing passages and distributing grooves, on either side of the wheels 25, 26, these wheels rotating within a suction chamber 12. Return oil fills the chamber 22 in which the motor rotor rotates, and this chamber communicates with the suction chamber 12 via a non-return valve 24. The pump outlet communicates with an annular passage 37 surrounding bearing 8, this annular passage being connected with the pressure passage 31 via a passage 36 closable by pressure regulating valve 33. The valve 33 incorporates a spring- biased piston, the space 39 behind which communicates with the suction chamber 12 and which normally blocks passage 38 leading to the return oil chamber 22. An annular filter 30 surrounds the wheels 25, 26.
