Abstract

1292995 Rotary positive displacement machine L ZACCARON 13 Nov 1969 [14 Nov 1968 2 Aug 1969] 55668/69 Heading F1F [Also in Division B8] Apparatus for recovering loose material from a pile comprises a conveyer driven by a hydraulic motor 114 mounted on an arm pivotable across the pile by a vane motor 36. In order to maintain optimum operating condition of full conveyer delivery without over stressing the components the vane motor is actuated by a variable delivery pump comprising a minimum delivery limiting device 133 and a maximum limiting device 136 which are subordinated to the motor 114 by delivery through a line 129. The variable pump has a bladed motor 95 in a movable chamber 131. Springs 137, 140 in the devices 138, 136 are acted against by the fluid in the line 129 and both springs must be overcome to vary the delivery to the vane chamber 35 to alter its operating speed. The direction of the vane motor is reversed by actuation of a coil 108 or 109 to move valve 107.
