1292949 Activated coke BERGWERKSVERBAND GmbH 19 April 1971 [21 March 1970] 22106/71 Heading C1A [Also in Division C5] Hollow cylindrical articles made of coke are activated by gas, e.g. in a rotary pipe furnace or in a fluidized bed. The articles are made by extruding a mixture of a pulverulent carbonaceous material, e.g. coal, coke, charcoal or peat, and a liquid or plastic binder, e.g. hard or soft pitch, tar or anthracene oil, at a temperature in the range 50‹ to 95‹ C., and coking the hollow articles, see Division C5.
