Abstract

Method for making crystalline graphite comprises heating a graphitisable and carbon-forming pitch to 400-500 degrees C for obtaining spherical crystallisites separating the intermediate phase, treating the intermediate spherical crystallites to prevent adhesion of the crystallites on carbonization, and carbonizing the spherical crystallites and graphitising them.
