Abstract

1292091 Seals VOIGT & HAEFFNER GmbH 19 May 1971 [8 July 1970] 15729/71 Heading F2B [Also in Division H5] A tubular electrical heater comprises a dished spring sealing washer 7 of electrically insulating material (P.T.F.E.) which is compressed between a bush 6 and a filler 2 to force it into sealing contact with the wall of the tube 1. The heating element 3 is embedded in the filler and the bush 6 is pressed into the tube by a nut 5 which is screwthreaded on the retaining bolt 4 for the heating element. As shown, several washers 7 are employed with a cold-setting silicone rubber mass 8 between the opposed concave surfaces.
