Abstract

A control element for application to a hot plate controls the current to the element so that the temperature is constant. The device has good heat conduction properties so that the elements, notably a thermistor contained within it have a long lip. The device is physically suitable for attachment directly to the surface of which the temperature is to be controlled. It consists basically of a variator (3) in series connection with a thermistor (1), both pressed against the surface by means of a spring (5) which also serves as a connection. A base plate (8) serves as another electrode which is insulted from the surface (11) and which serves as the other electrode.
