Abstract

1289777 Clamps PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 19 April 1971 [11 June 1970] 28287/70 Heading E2B [Also in Division H5] An electric heating element is mounted in the wall of container 8 by means of a plate 3, a resilient sealing member 4 and a cap 5 fitted over the flanged aperture 9 and compressing the member 4. As shown, a resilient member 4 e.g. of black neoprene rubber, has the ends of two heaters 1, 2 passing through it and also a bolt 7 which when tightened causes the member 4 to expand and exert pressure around the periphery of the aperture. The aperture has a pipe on its flange 9 engaged by a deformation (14) on the cap 5.
