Grates.-In a fire-gmte which can be fitted to various sizes of fireplace, a bowed-out front 1 has setback ends 2, 3 with slots 4 through which pass bolts 5 securing it to the fire-place. An inclined grate 8 its secured by screws in lugs 6 on the bar 1, and to its rear edge is loosely connected a convex back grating 9, its inclination depending on the depth of the fire-place. Loose side cheeks 11 may rest on the grate bottom and a trivet 12 may be provided.
