1291747 Grinding LIDKOPINGS MEK ANISKA VERKSTADS AB 28 Oct 1970 [28 Oct 1969] 51268/70 Heading B3D A centreless grinding machine comprises a grinding wheel 3, a regulating wheel 5 and a work rest 7, the grinding wheel and/or the regulating wheel being movable in directions towards and away from the work rest which is movable about a pivot 9 during the movement of the grinding or regulating wheel to vary the angle of the supporting surface of the work rest. As described, both the grinding wheel and regulating wheel are movable along a frame 1, and the work rest 6, which supports the workpiece 7, is mounted on the pivot 9 on a carriage 13 displaceable along guides 14. The work rest has an arm 11 connected to a device 12 operable manually or automatically to pivot the work rest between limit positions determined at the beginning and end of the grinding operation whereby the supporting surface of the work rest is varied during the grinding operation.
