1291075 Steel composition CESKOSLOVENSKA AKADEMIE VED 8 Dec 1969 [9 Dec 1968] 59860/69 Heading C7A A steel comprises:- C 0À6-0À9% (0À2-0À4% in solid solution after quenching). Cr 0À7-1À2% Mn 1À5-2À5% Si 1À5-2À5% with optional additions of one or more of:- up to 1% W up to 0À8% V, up to 0À5% Ti, up to 0À5% Nb and up to 0À8% Mo, the balance, apart from impurities and incidental elements in amounts usual in bearing steels, being Fe. The steel may be austenetized at 780-820‹ C. quenched and tempered at 150-200‹ C. Use:- Bearings or other machine parts subject to wear.
