Abstract

1288500 Controlling I C engine throttle valve HONDA GIKEN KOGYO K K 15 Dec 1970 [16Decl969j 59572/70 Heading F1B A clutch 9 in the throttle valve operating mechanism 8 is disengaged to permit a spring 6 to move the valve member 4 to a position substantially closing the intake passage 3 in the event of failure of the valve member to move to the substantially closed position on release of the operating mechanism. The solenoid 10 is energized to disengage the clutch plate 9b from the plate 9α when the switches 16 and 17 are both closed. The switch 16 is closed when the pedal portion 19 is released and the switch 17 is closed when the valve member 4 is in any position other than the substantially closed position.
