1286475 Revolving restaurants MACTON MACHINERY CO Inc 11 Dec 1969 60517/69 Heading EIA A rotating restaurant comprises a floor 22 in the form of a turntable adapted to rotate adjacent a stationary wall 14 having framed openings therein, the turntable including chairs and tables and having an annular flange 146 connected to its underside in contact with opposed, rotary driving members 38. The members 38 are driven by a common motor through individual spiral reduction gearing. Each member 38 is driven at a peripheral speed substantially equal to the peripheral speed of the flange surface in contact with it. One rotory member 38 acts as a retarding means increasing the load on the other to take up backlash and thereby reduce chatter.
