Abstract
1,269,914. Worm and wheel gears for lifts. HITACHI Ltd. 23 March, 1970 [26 March, 1969; 17 Oct., 1968], No. 14028/70. Heading B8L. [Also in Division F2] In a lift in which power is transmitted to the winding gear through a worm-wheel the worm shaft is resiliently supported so that axial displacement of the shaft is possible. In a first embodiment, Fig. 6, the shaft 52 is supported by four resilient bushes 54 which are bolted to the motor shaft 61 by bolts 55. Fig. 7 shows a second embodiment in which an annular resilient member 72 is bonded to members bolted respectively to the drive and worm shafts by bolts 74, 73.
