Abstract

There is an entry shaft (1) and output shaft (2) and a mechanical assembly with three epicyclic trains (10)(20)(30). There is also a converter with two variable cylindrical elements (3), (4) which can act as a pump or motor. The input and output shafts are connected together to the three trains. Shaft (1) is solid with carriers (12) of epicyclic train (10), planet (21) of train (20) and planet (31) of train (30). Output shaft (2) is solid with crown wheel (13) of train (10), carrier (22) of train (20) and carrier (32) of train (30). The power transmitted by the hydrostatic elements is zero for three coupling arrangements between the three gear trains and the elements.
