Abstract

1286214 Convector radiators M ANDREOLI 4 Dee 1970 57685/70 Heading F4S A convector radiator 2 comprises a monobloc metal member 3 (two such members mounted side by side being illustrated) preferably a die-casting of aluminium alloy, said member consisting of side, front and rear walls 4, 6, 8 respectively together forming an open ended box section subdivided internally by baffles or fins 14 and through which extends a tubular duct 18 for a heating fluid e.g. hot water. The upper end of the box is partly closed by a plate 7 forming with the front wall 6 an outlet aperture 10 for the heated air. Air to be heated enters the open lower end of the box section at 9. The rear wall 8 of the monobloc structure is of less height than the front wall 6. The open space 11 above the wall 8 is normally closed either by the building wall against which in use, the heater is placed; or as shown by a plate 12. The union of the radiator members with one another in a multibloc arrangement is effected in a conventional manner by threaded portions 20 at the ends of the tubular duct 18.
