Abstract

1285391 Textile lubricants WITCO CHEMICAL CORP 22 April 1970 19181/70 Heading C5F A textile lubricant comprises, by weight, (a) 60-70 parts mineral oil having a viscosity of 50-125 S.U.S. at 100‹ F; (b) 10-15 parts of a methyl ester of a C 12 -C 18 fatty acid; (c) 6-10 parts of an alkali metal salt of a phosphonic acid ester of an adduct of 2-20 mols of ethylene oxide per mol of (i) C 8 -C 18 linear aliphatic alcohols, (ii) C 10 -C 20 branched chain aliphatic alcohols or (iii) a mono- and/or di-C 5 -C 12 alkylphenol; (d) 8-10 parts of polyoxyethylene sorbitan tristearate containing 40-75 wt. per cent ethylene oxide; and (e) 3-4 parts of an alkanolamide of a C 16 -C 16 normally liquid fatty acid. 1-30 Parts of this composition may be mixed with 99-70 parts of water.
