Abstract

1284621 Separation of impurities from fibres VYZKUMNY USTAV BAVLNARSKY 15 May 1970 [16 May 1969] 23617/70 Heading B2H [Also in Division D1] Impurities are removed from the staple fibres being fed to a break spinning machine by being ejected into a withdrawal chamber 81 immediately after being contacted by the fibre separating roller 4. As shown, the feed sliver 1 is opened by roller 4 and the dirt is ejected in a generally tangential direction through inlet 8. The fibres are then carried round by roller 4 to be fed to the spinning chamber. There may be a plurality of inlets to the withdrawal chamber 8 (Figs. 2 and 3 not shown) which are spaced one above the other. The withdrawal chamber 8 may be connected to a central suction device of the break spinning machine.
