Propelling; cars and cabins.-A fairing or casing for aircraft engines comprises a nose 11 rotating with the propeller, and a fixed cylindrical part 1 formed with slots 2 to receive the engine cylinders, projections 3 being formed between the slots so as to form longitudinal channels which direct the blast from the propeller on to the engine cylinder 10. A conical part 17 is attached by a tensioned cable 19 to the rear end of the cylinder 1. The streamline shape may be completed by the fuselage, or, in the case of a separate nacelle, by means of two parts 20, 21, the former of which may be telescoped over the latter to give access to the engine. The engine may be bolted to a pentagonal plate 5, which is secured to struts 6 and carries a ring 9 over which the cylinder 1 is sprung.
