1284526 Belt tensioning means W SCHAEFFLER and G SCHAEFFLER [trading as INDUSTRIEWERK SCHAEFFLER OHG] 16 Sept 1970 [18 Sept 1969] 44319/70 Heading F2Q A belt tensioning roller 1 is rotatably mounted in a holder 2 carried at one end of a resilient support 3 which is secured at the other end, by a bolt 4, to a machine frame 5, and a leaf spring 6, also clamped by bolt 4, carries a friction lining 7 which bears against the support 3 under initial tension. The free end of the spring 6 is connected to the support 3 in the manner of a clip, as shown in Fig. 2. In a modification, a resilient support 8, Fig. 3, for a roller 1 is located between leaf-springs 9, 10 provided with friction linings 11.
