Abstract

128,390. Landells, R. E., Moyle, R. R., and Davis, D. J. June 18, 1918. Metallic fabrics.-A reinforcement for concrete floors, roads, &c. comprises longitudinal bars a, a<1>, Figs. 1 and 2, and transverse bars d, d<1> oonnected by polygonal links shown as of square shape in Figs. 3 and 6, having loops at the corners for threading on to the bars. The vertical bars are first placed in position and the loops threaded on to alternate bars a' 'in the following order, namely, bottom loops c<3> of links I and II, top links c' of link I, bottom loop of link III, top loop of link II, and so on. The transverse bars d, d' are then threaded through the side loops of each link. Some or all of the loops may be open as shown in Fig. 6, and they may all be bent in the same direction. In the modification shown in Fig. 9, two series of longitudinal and transverse bars lie in separate planes and alternate with each other.
