1283683 Treating oak veneers COMBINATUL PENTRU INDUSTRIALIZAREA LEMNULUICARANSEBES 23 Jan 1970 3482/70 Heading D1P The colour of oak veneer is improved by immersion in water at 70-130‹C for 10min- 10 hours, followed by cooling with water to 1-28‹C while still completely immersed, whereby water-soluble coloration is removed. The process may be effected in a vessel provided with an overflow pipe and through which fresh hot water is circulated continuously, followed by cold water. Distilled or condensed water is preferably used.
